We’d like to officially announce our new Director of the St. John Paul II Newman Center, Fr. Connor Danstrom! Fr. Connor was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Chicago in May 2014. He has served for the past four years as the associate pastor of St. Benedict Church in Blue Island, IL. Before entering seminary, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Illinois in Champaign. He was very involved at St. John’s Catholic Newman Center, and he credits the friendships he formed there and the example of the priests at Newman with helping him to hear his call to the priesthood. For fun, he likes to play basketball, play guitar, and go camping and fly fishing with his priest friends every summer. He looks forward to getting started and meeting everyone at St. John Paul II Newman Center – UIC this fall! #jp2newman #CatholicStrong
